You can find superstars across the league at each base and bump with a solid bat, stealing the hearts of fans everywhere! The All-Star break is fast approaching, and with the voting polls open, here are the top picks at each position. Broken up by league, here is my All-Star lineup!

American League
At first base, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the only option. Always flashing the leather, making defensive plays while also swinging the bat in clutch situations. Guerrero Jr. currently has a .273 AVG with 8 home runs and many more to come! Playing second should be Gleyber Torres. Torres showed us last season and is still proving that he is a key player! With a strong performance at the plate, Torres currently sits at .269 AVG, 5 homers, and .775 OPS. Not huge numbers, but comes to play when needed!
Playing 3rd, if healthy, is Alex Bregman. After electing free agency and signing with the Boston Red Sox, Bregman put up excellent numbers in the first third of the season with a .299 AVG, 11 home runs, and a .938 OPS before going on the IL with a right quad strain. Bregman was a saving grace, bringing a big bat and solid defense; however, with him out, they are now seeing how essential he is to the team. José Ramírez is my second choice. You just can’t go wrong here! A .332 batting average, 12 home runs, and a .943 OPS. Big name in the Land and across the game, he should, for sure, make the AL All-Star team!
Here’s where I get all tied up! There are excellent players playing shortstop, but the best I see for this year are Bobby Witt Jr. or Zach Neto. The KC Royal is a piece that is not only fun to watch but is also consistent and a team captain. Witt Jr. currently sits at .291 AVG and 8 home runs. A surprising choice for non-Angel fans is Zach Neto. Zach Neto has proven himself worthy to the Los Angeles Angels; if anything, he’s one of their top players. With an in and out Mike Trout, Neto kept the Halos up playing with a .267 AVG, 10 home runs, and an .800 OPS.
The letter “C” isn’t just for catcher, it’s for Cal Raleigh! What a star he has been for the Seattle Mariners! With a .272 AVG, 26 home runs, and 1.035 OPS, he came in clutch for his team and was named the American League Co-Player of the Week during May 26-June 1, 2025. There are no other catchers to represent the American League other than Raleigh.
Starting from left to right, Steven Kwan will start in left field. With a .313 AVG, five home runs, and a .804 OPS, the Cleveland Guardian is a star outfielder. Supported by the best center fielder in the league, Aaron Judge is an All-Star both in the field and at the plate with 23 home runs, .396 AVG, and 1.264 OPS.
Although he is usually in left field, moving to center won’t be too much of a challenge for Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran. Duran plays with a .273 AVG and an OPS of .750, but mostly plays with a heart for the game and its youngins. After watching the Netflix documentary “The Clubhouse: A Year With The Red Sox,” you see the heart he has for baseball and Boston. To be an All-Star is to be an example of excellence, not just during the game but outside of it, which Jarren does.
Finally, the only person to DH, and only DH (iykyk), is Rafael Devers. The former Red Sox DH bats at a .282 AVG, has 14 home runs, and a .926 OPS. Yes, Raffy had a rough start to the season, but he’s picking it up, especially after this last Yankee series, where he hit two home runs.

National League
Let's be honest. The National League is the more fun league to watch, specifically the NL West. That division hosts some of the top talent of the league as a whole, and most of the positions filled will be from that division. At first base, I have two picks. Both know the strike zone well and are excellent defensively, but what separates them is the approach at the plate. New York Met, Pete Alonso, isn’t just a fan favorite but a power hitter. When he steps up to the plate, he’s looking to do some damage and go far. He currently has a .301 AVG with 17 home runs.
However, you can’t rely on going yard in each at bat; you need consistent base reaching, which is what you get with San Diego Padre, Luis Arráez. The four-time batting champion currently has a .276 AVG, three home runs, and a .707 OPS. He’s a player who doesn’t go striking out; he puts the ball in play, finding the gaps to reach base, allowing the next batter to go far, bringing in more runs.
Playing second base should be Ketel Marte of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sitting pretty with a .294 AVG, 12 homers, and an OPS of 1.021, he’s the guy both defensively and offensively consistently doing his job. Third base needs no explanation. Manny Machado, .318 AVG and 10 home runs, is the captain every team needs.
Playing shortstop needs to be Mookie Betts! Betts, batting with a .274 AVG, 9 home runs, and .782 OPS, isn’t just an absolute monster at the plate, but nothing gets past him in the 6-hole! It’s like hitting into a wall of greatness! Another Dodger All-Star needs to be Will Smith at catcher. Batting with a .322 AVG, 5 home runs, and .919 OPS, he’s always on cue. Calling the pitches perfectly, framing the zone, but also pounding the zone offensively!
From right to left in the outfield, Fernando Tatís Jr., Juan Soto, and Pete Crow-Armstrong would be perfect! A new big name from the Chicago Cubs is Pete Crow-Armstrong. Hitting with a .276 AVG, 17 homers, and .867 OPS isn’t all he brings. Big plays in the game are what make him stand out to be a 2025 All-Star! With his history-making contract of $750 million for 15 years with the New York Mets, Soto brings huge power in his swing and incredible defense! A young player with a powerful name to play next to him is Fernando Tatís Jr. Young talent, powerful player, and constantly amazing fans in San Diego!
I feel like we already know Shohei Ohtani will be the NL All-Star DH, but I would like to present another option! Gavin Sheets of the San Diego Padres has proven to be a clutch player! He’s been versatile in playing first base, left field (where he had an insane collision and still came off the bench the next series), and brings a heavy power swing to drive himself in! Batting with a .250 AVG, 11 home runs, and .767 OPS, he’s the DH no one expected but needs!
The All-Star game is a chance to showcase the best of the best in this game we love. Show some love to the rookies and new names and vote 5 times a day!
