8:20 p.m: Bills vs. Rams
In the NFL kickoff game coming from SoFi stadium, The Buffalo Bills used a 21-point second half to get a lead on the defending Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams. Josh Allen, Bills QB, had over 350 yards of total offense for the game and four touchdowns (three pass, one rush). The Bills' defense sacked Rams QB Matthew Stafford seven times and picked off three of Stafford's passes. The players that got touchdowns for the Bills are Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie. Allen completed his first 10 passes of the game, which is a career-best for him. Also, the Bills’ Von Miller had two sacks which was his 27th career multi-sack game of his career. Cooper Kupp got the touchdown for the Rams during the second quarter. The Bills did not punt the entire game and they became the first team in NFL history to have 0 punts, 3+ interceptions, and 7+ sacks in the same game! The final score of this game was 31-10 with a Bills victory.

1:00 p.m: Eagles vs. Lions
In Detroit, the Lions’ Jamaal Williams was the first to get a touchdown in the game for the Lions to have a 7-0 lead. In the second quarter, Jalen Hurts, Eagles QB, scrambled into the end zone for a touchdown to tie the game 7-7. In the second quarter, Miles Sanders headed into the end zone for a touchdown and made it 14-7 Eagles. James Bradberry from the Eagles intercepted the ball close to the end of the second quarter which led to a touchdown by the Eagles to make it 21-7 with the Eagles in the lead. With less than two minutes left in the second quarter, the Lions’ D’Andre Swift got a touchdown to make the score 21-14 Eagles. Kenneth Gainwell got a touchdown for the Eagles in the third quarter to make the score 31-14 Eagles, but shortly after, Amon-Ra St. Brown received a pass from QB Jared Goff to get a touchdown to make it 31-21 Eagles. Boston Scott went up the middle for an Eagles touchdown and made the score 38-21 Eagles. Jamaal Williams got another touchdown for the Lions in the fourth quarter and made the Lions a little bit closer to the Eagles by making the score 38-28. The last touchdown of the game was by the Lions’ D. J. Chark, which ended the game 38-35 with an Eagles victory. The Lions defensive back Tracy Walker was ejected during this game for swiping in a scrum with the Eagles.
1:00 p.m: 49ers vs. Bears
In Chicago, The Bears took on the San Francisco 49ers. In the first quarter, the Bears fumbled the ball but then recovered it before anything bad happened. Justin Fields, the QB of the Bears, threw a pass that was intercepted by the 49ers’ Talanoa Hufanga with around seven minutes left in the first quarter. Finally, in the second quarter, Trey Lance, the QB of the 49ers, gave the ball to Deebo Samuels for a touchdown and made the score 7-0 49ers. In the third quarter, the 49ers got a field goal and the score was 10-0 49ers. With five minutes left in the third quarter, Dante Pettis from the Bears took a pass from Fields right to the end zone for a touchdown and made the score 10-7 49ers. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Fields sent an 18-yard pass to Equanimeous St. Brown for a touchdown which gave the Bears the lead, 13-10. Lance threw an interception and it was caught by Eddie Jackson of the Bears. Then, with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter, Khalil Herbert of the Bears got a touchdown and made the score 19-10 Bears. The last two extra points for the Bears were a fail otherwise, it would have been 21-10. Elijah Mitchell of the 49ers was injured during the game, and the severity of the injury is not known at this time.
1:00 p.m: Steelers vs. Bengals
In Cincinnati, the Bengals took on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals quarterback is Joe Burrow and the Steelers quarterback is Mitch Trubinsky. At the beginning of the game, Joe Burrow was sacked by Cameron Heyward. This then led to an interception by Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Steelers, and he took it to the end zone for a touchdown to make the score 7-0 Steelers. The Bengals kicker Evan McPherson kicked a field goal to make the score 7-3 Steelers. With two minutes left in the first quarter, Steelers kicker Chris Boswell kicked a field goal and the score was then 10-3 Steelers. In the second quarter, Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt intercepted the ball from Burrow. With less than 10 minutes left in the second quarter, Najee Harris got a touchdown for the Steelers and made it 17-3 Steelers. With five minutes left in the second quarter, Cameron Sutton intercepted the ball for the Steelers. In the second quarter with 14 seconds left, The Bengals got a field goal to make the score 17-6 Steelers, heading into halftime. With four minutes left in the third quarter, Tyler Boyd got a touchdown, and instead of the kick for the extra point, the Bengals went for a two-point conversion which was successful and jumped the score up 17-14 Steelers. The Steelers then got a field goal in the fourth quarter to make it 20-14 Steelers. With eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, Ahkello Witherspoon from the Steelers intercepted the ball from Burrow. With 12 seconds left in the game, Ja’Marr Chase from the Bengals got a touchdown, but then McPherson missed the kick and took the game into overtime with a 20-20 score. In overtime, the Bengals got to their field goal line, and right as they could’ve ended the game, McPherson missed the field goal. The game continued and the Steelers got to their field goal line, so Chris Boswell went to take the kick, and it looked good in the air. However, it hit the goalpost. It was a great shock to everyone that both field goals did not make it. The game then continued and with less than five seconds left, the Steelers got to their field goal line again, and Chris Boswell made the field goal. The ending score of this game was 23-20 Steelers. Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt tore his pec during this game, and it is unknown when he will be able to come back.
1:00 p.m: Patriots vs. Dolphins
In Miami, the Dolphins played the New England Patriots, with the QB of the Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, and the QB of the Patriots, Mac Jones. Tyreek Hill made his debut for the Dolphins during this game. The Patriots only got one touchdown this game and it was scored by Ty Montgomery in the third quarter. Mac Jones threw an interception during this game while Tagovailoa did not. The Dolphins had two touchdowns during this game, one from Tagovailoa and the other from Jaylen Waddle. The first touchdown that the Dolphins got was a sack and fumble from Mac Jones. The Dolphins kicker, Jason Sanders, kicked two field goals during this game. The final score of the game was 20-7 with a Dolphins win. Austin Jackson and Cethan Carter of the Dolphins were injured during this game. Patriots injuries consisted of Adrian Phillips and Mac Jones; Jones couldn't talk to reporters after the game as he was heading to the x-ray room for his back injury
1:00 PM: Browns vs. Panthers
In North Carolina, The Panthers took on the Cleveland Browns. There was a lot of controversy over the officiating of this game. Baker Mayfield, QB of the Panthers, was playing his former team and new QB for the Browns, Jacoby Brissett. This was the first game for the Panthers kicker, Eddy Pineirio. The first quarter of this game had no scoring at all. The Browns had two touchdowns in this game and they were scored by Brissett and Kareem Hunt. The Browns also had four field goals scored by Cade York. Mayfield, Robbie Anderson, and Christian McCaffrey scored Carolina's three touchdowns. The Panthers had one field goal scored by Eddy Pineiro. With two minutes left in the game, the Panthers took the lead with a field goal to make the score 24-23. However, with10 seconds left, Cade York took a 5- yard field goal attempt, which was good, so Cleveland took the lead for a final score of 26-24. There were no injuries reported during this game.
1:00 p.m: Colts vs. Texans
The Indianapolis Colts faced the Houston Texans in Houston. Matt Ryan is the QB for the Colts while Davis Mills is the quarterback for the Texans. The Colts were the first ones on the scoreboard with a field goal to make it 3-0. The Texans stopped the Colts at the beginning of the second quarter when they were close to getting a touchdown. Colts intercepted the ball with five minutes left in the second quarter. This game didn't have a flag until two minutes left in the second quarter. Then, O.J. Howards got a touchdown for the Texans to make it 10-3 Texans. In the third quarter, the Texans got a field goal and made it 13-3. The ball was loose and the Texans recovered it. O.J. Howard got his second touchdown for the Texans in the third quarter and made it 20-3. With 10 minutes left, the Colts got a field goal, and the score got bumped up to 20-6. The Colts’ Jonathan Taylor got a touchdown and made it 20-13. With less than two minutes left, Micheal Pittman from the Colts got a touchdown to tie the score 20-20. This game ended up going into overtime. The Colts got to field goal range and missed the field goal. The Texans never got to their field goal range, so the game ended in a tie, 20-20.
1:00 p.m: Saints vs. Falcons
In Atlanta, The Falcons took on the New Orleans Saints. The Falcons QB is Marcus Mariota while the Saints QB is Jameis Winston. It was Dennis Allen’s first game as coach of the Saints. The Saints pulled off an incredible comeback to win this game by one point. Winston was also sacked four times during this game. The players that got the touchdowns for the Falcons were Cordarrelle Patterson and Marcus Maritoa. The players that got the touchdowns for the Saints were Taysom Hill and Michael Thomas twice. The Saints went for two two-point conversions and only one of them succeeded. The Falcons had four field goals while the Saints had two good field goals and one that missed. There were a few fumbles during this game. Will Lutz, the kicker of the Saints, had the game-winning field goal for the Saints with 19 seconds left. The only injury recorded during this game was Damien Williams of the Falcons. The final score of this game was 27-26 for a Saints win.
1:00 p.m: Ravens vs. Jets
The New York Jets played at home against the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson is QB for the Ravens while Joe Flacco is the QB for the Jets. Flacco started in place of Zach Wilson, who is out until at least week four because of a recovering bone bruise and torn meniscus. Flacco and Jackson both threw an interception during this game. In the second quarter, the Jets missed a field goal. Devin Duvernay got two touchdowns for the Ravens and Rashod Bateman got one. On the Jets, Tyler Conklin got the touchdown but did not get the extra point. The Jets kicker, Greg Zuerlein, took one field goal as did Ravens kicker Justin Tucker. During this game, LT Ja’waun James from the Ravens and Michael Carter from the Jets got injured. The final score of this game was 24-9 with a win for the Ravens.
1:00 p.m: Jaguars vs. Commanders
Over in Washington, the Commanders took on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The QB for the Commanders is Carson Wentz while the QB for the Jaguars is Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence threw one interception during this game while Wentz threw two. The Commanders that got a touchdown were Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Jahon Dotson twice. On the Jaguars, only James Robinson got a touchdown. The Commanders didn’t take any kicks while the Jaguars had two field goals and one missed field goal. This was a bit of a comeback game for the Commanders for them to win. The final score was 28-22. The only injuries during this game were to the Commanders Phidarian Mathis and Wes Schweitzer.
4:25 p.m: Packers vs. Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings were at home taking on the Green Bay Packers. The QB for the Vikings is Kirk Cousins while the Green Bay Packers played both Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love as their QB. This was the Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell’s first game. Minnesota had four sacks this game. Green Bay did fumble the ball once and Rodgers also threw an interception. The player on the Packers that got a touchdown was AJ Dillon. The player that got the touchdowns for the Vikings was Justin Jefferson. The Vikings kicker, Greg Joseph also kicked three field goals. There were a lot of players from the Packers that were either inactive or held out. The final score of the game was 23-7 with a Vikings victory.
4:25 p.m: Giants vs. Titans
In Tennessee, the Titans took on the New York Giants. The QB for the Titans is Ryan Tannehill and the QB for the Giants is Daniel Jones. The Giants were down the whole first half until they made a comeback. The Giants got three touchdowns during this game scored by Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, and Chris Myarick. The Titan that got two touchdowns was Dontrell Hilliard. With five minutes left in the game, the Giants got their third touchdown and made the score 21-20 Giants, and then the Titans decided to attempt a field goal with four seconds left and missed the final score was 21-20 for a New York Giants victory. The Titans' kicker, Randy Bullock did have two successful field goals. The Giants went for two 2-point conversion attempts and one was successful but for their second touchdown, their kicker Graham Geno made the extra point. There were a few injuries in this game for the Titans and the players were Taylor Lewan, A.J. Moore, and Ola Adeniyi. The player injured for the Giants was Wan’Dale Robinson.
4:25 p.m: Raiders vs. Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers were at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. The QB for the Chargers is Justin Herbert, while the QB for the Raiders is Derek Carr. It was a tough game for Carr, who threw three interceptions. Davante Adams and Brandon Bolden got touchdowns for the Raiders. DeAndre Carter, Gerald Everett, and Alexander Horvath got touchdowns for the Chargers. The Chargers kicker, Dustin Hopkins, started the game with a field goal and he also missed a field goal later in the game. The Raiders kicker, Daniel Carlson, took two field goals during this game. The final score of this game was 24-19 with a home win for the Chargers. On the Raiders, Andre James left in an ambulance following the game being evaluated for a concussion. Anthony Averett and Tre’von Moehrig of the Raiders, were also injured during this game. There were no reported injuries for the Chargers.
4:25 p.m: Chiefs vs. Cardinals
In Arizona, the Cardinals took on the Kansas City Chiefs. The QB for the Chiefs is Patrick Mahomes while both Kyler Murray and Trace McSorley are the QB for the Cardinals. Travis Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Helaire (two), Jody Fortson, Mecole Hardman, and Isiah Pachero got touchdowns for the Chiefs. James Connor, Marquise Brown, and Zach Ertz got touchdowns for the Cardinals. Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, left the game in the first quarter due to an ankle injury, so the Chiefs turned to safety Justin Reid to handle the job. He made one of two attempts on extra points, and he also blasted a kickoff through the back of the end zone for a touchback. Butker returned late in the second quarter. The other injuries for the Chiefs were Trey Smith and Trent McDuffie, and Mahomes was a little sore after falling on his non-throwing arm. The Cardinals had Rondale Moore, Trayvon Mullen, Justin Pugh, and Watt all inactive for this game because of injuries. The final score of this game was 44-21 for a KC Chiefs win.
8:20 p.m: Buccaneers vs. Cowboys
In Dallas, the Cowboys played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The QB for the Buccaneers is Tom Brady while the Cowboys played two QBs, Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush. Prescott and Brady both threw one interception during this game. This game was big for Tom Brady since he came out of retirement. On the Buccaneers, Mike Evans was the player that got their touchdown. Cowboys kicker, Brett Maher, was the only one to score for the Cowboys with a field goal. Buccaneers kicker, Ryan Succop, kicked four good field goals and one missed field goal. Dak Prescott got injured during this game and will miss a few weeks due to surgery that will have to happen because of a fracture near the thumb. From the Cowboys, Jayron Kearse and Tarell Basham also got injured. For the Buccaneers, only Godwin was injured.

8:20 p.m: Broncos vs. Seahawks
In Seattle, the Seahawks played the Denver Broncos. Russell Wilson who is now the QB for the Broncos was playing his former team. The Seahawks QB is Geno Smith. The Seahawks were the first to get on the board with a touchdown to make the score 7-0. In the first quarter, the Broncos got a field goal to get them on the board, 7-3 Seahawks. In the second quarter, the Seahawks got a field goal to make it 10-3, but then the Broncos got a touchdown and tied up the score at 10. Seattle got a touchdown with two minutes left in the second quarter to make it 17-10 Seahawks. The Broncos made a field goal with three seconds left in the second quarter and the score was 17-13 Seahawks. In the third quarter, the Broncos had the ball and dropped it right as they were about to get a touchdown and the Seahawks recovered it. With three minutes left in the third quarter, the Broncos dropped the ball again while trying to get a touchdown and the Seahawks recovered it. The Broncos took a field goal with five minutes left in the game and made it to make the score 17-16 Seahawks. With 15 seconds left in the game, the Broncos took a 64-yard field goal attempt and they missed it, so the final score of this game was 17-16 with a Seahawks victory. The players that scored a touchdown for the Seahawks were Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson, and the players that scored a touchdown for the Broncos were Russell Wilson and Jerry Jeudy. Jamal Adams from Seattle got injured during this game along with Quinn Meinerz and K’Waun Williams from Denver.
