The Splash Brothers are made up of All-Stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The pair has a combined total of 4 Finals championships, 24 seasons in the NBA, 2 scoring leader awards, and 14 All-Star selections. This duo is considered to be the greatest backcourt in the NBA, which is one of the reasons why they received the nickname “The Splash Brothers" or "Splash Bros.”
In 2012, the duo received the name “The Splash Brothers” during a regular season game when they combined for a total of 7 made 3-pointers. Both Curry and Thompson have broken 3-point records because of their accuracy and how quickly they can shoot the ball.

Stephen Curry was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2009 with the 7th pick in the draft out of Davidson University. Curry was considered to be an undersized guard with only the potential to be a shooting threat in the NBA.
Over his time in the NBA, he has proved everybody wrong with his progression into one of the most successful players in the NBA. Curry has 4 Finals Championships, 1 finals MVP award, 1 All-Star MVP award, 2 regular season MVP awards, and was a part of the All-Rookie 1st Team. Curry is a household name in the NBA because of his ability to win championships, with a total of four wins in six NBA Finals appearances.

Klay Thompson is a completely different story. He was taken by the Golden State Warriors in 2011 with the eleventh overall pick in the first round. Thompson is a shooting guard known for his volume shooting and consistency when it comes to making shots under pressure. Thomas is also a five-time all-star and was selected as an All-Defensive second team member. Thompson is not as big of a star as Curry because he hasn’t been in the NBA as long as him and has yet to win an award like MVP or Finals MVP.
In June of 2019, Thompson suffered an injury to his ACL in game six of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. After the play that left him with a torn ACL, Thompson left the court and then was told he had to go back on the court to shoot his two free throws because he was fouled during the play. With him being out for that whole year, the future for the Warriors was uncertain. Thompson would go on to tear his Achilles in the fall of 2020 and that would lead him to be out for two years. Thompson would return to playing for the Warriors on January 9, 2022, almost two whole years after his first initial injury of his ACL.
Together this pair is unstoppable. They move the ball quickly and shoot from as far as half-court in some cases. The reason that the Warriors are dominating the league for three years straight is because of these two players. Curry and Thompson have shown that by a team having two sharp shooting guards it wins championships as long as they can share the fame and not let their egos get in the way of what they are actually working towards. When they are both healthy, they make the Warriors a team that seems to be unbeatable.
