Turn up the Track: Your 2025 F1 Playlist

While drivers may be unable to listen to music in the car, it greatly influences the sport. Whether it’s DJ-centric beats, Broadway crossovers, a jam session in the paddock, or songs from iconic racing movies, here is your 2025 F1 playlist that will be on repeat for the rest of the year.

Speed Drive- Charli XCX

While brat summer may be over, Charli XCX still has many hits and even a few songs about cars. Speed Drive was a big hit during the Barbie movie press, and this song is the perfect way to encapsulate the high-speed nature of Formula 1 and hype fans up for the rest of the season.

Getaway Car-Taylor Swift

There couldn’t be a playlist without Taylor Swift, and she has the perfect song to listen to to get ready for race weekends. There is no better way to listen to Getaway Car than with the windows down and driving on the freeway. The American singer even performed at a Formula 1 race in 2016, at the Circuit of the Americas.

Smooth Operator- Sade

There is no greater song for the smooth operator himself, as it’s quite literally his anthem. Carlos Sainz’s nickname is more than just a testament to his racing abilities, he’s also been known to burst out into song during race weekends, singing the ballad he claimed for himself.

Life is a Highway- Rascal Flatts (Cars Movie Edition)

If you watch Formula 1, you already know that Liam Lawson has a bit of an obsession with the Cars movie franchise. He is the sport's own Lightning McQueen, as he has stated. While the movie is a great watch for fans, the music is even better. Life is a Highway is a classic song that ties into the iconic world of motorsport.

Monaco- Bad Bunny

Monaco is an iconic song in the Formula 1 community. It directly references the sport, including being named after the iconic circuit that has existed since the very beginning. Four-time World Champion Max Verstappen is even mentioned in the lyrics, making it the perfect song to add to the playlist.

Sports Car- Tate McRae

Tate McRae has been a big topic of conversation in the motorsports world, as her newest album has many references to the global phenomenon of racing. Even dressed in Papaya in one of her music videos, it’s no surprise that she made it to this list. What better song than one that perfectly explains the sport, Sports Car?

Fernando- ABBA

This one might be a reach, but ABBA’s music is so influential that it even inspired the creation of Mamma Mia. Fernando Alonso is currently the oldest driver in the sport, and he needs an anthem to honor his long career. Fernando is probably a little too on the nose, but hey, it works!

Ferrari- James Hype, Miggy Dela Rosa

It’s no surprise that house music is a popular genre amongst Formula 1 fans. With the upbeat tempos, it perfectly aligns with the feeling that watching a race gives. Ferrari is a great song to dance to, and it’s named after the Italian team.

Rubberneckin’- Elvis Presley, Paul Oakenfold Remix Radio Edit

This one is a personal choice, but it perfectly fits the vibe. Elvis Presley had hits, and he was a prominent figure in Las Vegas, the site of one of the iconic American F1 races. This song is also featured in a movie for a different sport, The Game Plan, so it can translate to motorsports instead of football this time around.

Orange Show Speedway- Lizzy McAlpine

To step away from the upbeat tunes, Orange Show Speedway is named after a car racing track in California. While it may not be Formula 1, it still has heavy undertones for racing. The artist even has Alpine in her last name, so bonus points for that feature?

Wait For It- Hamilton

The Broadway world has taken over Formula 1, especially in the TikTok community. The lyrics perfectly encapsulate the career that Lewis Hamilton has had, and there is a lot of expectation for his future at Ferrari. Time will only tell, but Hamilton doesn’t hesitate.

Tokyo Drift- Teriyaki Boyz

No racing anthem does it like Tokyo Drift. It may be more for street racing, but it’s the perfect song to wrap up the 2025 playlist. Whether you listen to it in the car or just for the vibes, it’s the perfect way to feel like you’re right there with them.

This 2025 playlist has everything you need to prepare for the next races this year. However, countless songs could be added on, so feel free to get creative and find more music that highlights different aspects of the racing world.
