PWHL fans can finally get excited about the league’s second season as the 2024-25 season schedule was released on Tuesday, Oct. 15. All six teams will play 30 games each this season, a step up from last year’s 24, and there are many matchups that are going to be exciting to watch. Although the New York Sirens are looking to improve after a disappointing inaugural season, the team is also playing primarily at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as well. So for fans planning on making a trip to The Rock or those just excited to watch the Sirens back in action, let’s take a look at the team’s 2024-25 schedule.

New York opens the season on the road, playing the season opener against the Minnesota Frost on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Then the Sirens visit the Montreal Victoire on Wednesday, Dec. 4, followed by a trip to Boston to take on the Boston Fleet on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The Sirens home opener will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and features a familiar foe in the Toronto Sceptres. With puck drop set at 7 PM EST, it’s going to be a thrilling first home game for the Sirens at their new home in New Jersey. The other five teams in the league will visit the Sirens three times each. New York will play a total of 13 contests at the Prudential Center this season with a few non-primary venue games which will be announced at a later date.

New York’s regular season will conclude on Friday, May 2 as the team will face off against the Montreal Victoire for the final home game of the season as well.

“With the schedule set, we’re eager to get to work,” said Sirens Head Coach Greg Fargo. “It has been clearly established that this league requires us to compete at the highest level every night and I am certain that season two will bring out the best in our team. There’s a lot of talent and energy in this group, and I’m confident we’ll give our New York Sirens fans a season to cheer for and be proud of.”

Similar to last season, there will be breaks for international competitions. This year, those breaks will take place from Dec. 9-16, Feb. 3-10 and then Apr. 3-25 for the 2025 IIHF’s Women’s World Championship.

With the start of the PWHL’s second season on the horizon, New York Sirens fans can’t wait to see their team back in action again. It’s sure to be an action packed season with thrilling games you won’t want to miss. For New York Sirens ticket information visit: https://newyork.thepwhl.com/en/.
