With Halloween right around the corner, everyone is planning their perfect costume- even your favorite athletes. Switching out their jerseys for costumes every year, NBA stars opt for creative looks that are memorable and fun. So if NBA stars traded hardwood floors for haunted houses, what would they dress as? Here's a look into the perfect Halloween fits for some of basketball's biggest stars.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - Batman

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would make the perfect Batman for Halloween. Known for his all-black tunnel fits, Shai's style matches the mysterious, fashion-forward aura of Gotham's Dark Knight. On the court, he's calculated, composed, and in control just like Bruce Wayne looking over Gotham City. Even his transformation into the NBA league MVP and Finals MVP last season stands out and feels almost super-heroic. His dedication and hard work reveals what dressing up as Batman would be for him: a statement of his emergence as a superhero in the league.
Tyrese Haliburton - Drake

Tyrese Haliburton dressing up as Drake for Halloween makes more sense than it might seem. Both are charismatic, stylish, and effortlessly confident with a mix of laid-back energy and competitive edge. Even as a kid, Tyrese was a Drake fan; his video singing along to "The Motto" by Drake resurfaced recently and adds up to why he should dress as the iconic rapper for Halloween. Plus, Tyrese is one of the NBA's funniest personalities, and pulling off a spot-on Drake costume (perhaps with a heart-shaped haircut) would fit perfectly with his sense of humor.

Victor Wembanyama - Edward Scissorhands

Victor Wembanyama dressing up as Edward Scissorhands for Halloween would be both iconic and fitting. With his towering frame and long limbs, Wemby already has a bit of Tim Burton character energy. Edward Scissorhands is known for his delicate precision and creativity despite his intimidating appearance, which mirrors how Wemby plays basketball as a 7'4" giant. On a deeper level, the choice would capture Wemby's individuality and the way he stands out from everyone in the league. Like Edward Scissorhands, he's a one-of-a-kind individual who channels his uniqueness into something beautiful: in Wemby's case, that's basketball.
Giannis Antetokounmpo - Shrek

Giannis Antetokounmpo dressing up as Shrek for Halloween would be absolutely perfect for the Greek Freak's playful personality. He previously dressed up as the Hulk, showing his ability to take his size into consideration for his iconic Halloween fits. Giannis is one of the NBA's biggest superstars, but he never takes himself too seriously, often seen cracking jokes and goofing around on social media. Shrek, the lovable green ogre, mirrors the same blend of strength and humor that defines Giannis. Shrek is always trying to live his peaceful life, and later ends up having to save the day. Both are gentle giants, physically dominant but with big hearts, and seeing Giannis in a full Shrek costume would be exactly the kind of wholesome chaos fans expect from him.

LeBron James - Taco

LeBron James dressing up as a taco for Halloween would be the ultimate full-circle moment for the man who made "Taco Tuesday" a cultural phenomenon. His weekly taco tradition with his family became one of his most beloved social media moments, showing fans his goofy personality outside of the game. A taco costume would perfectly capture LeBron embracing the meme he created and reminding everyone that one of the best athletes doesn't take himself too seriously. You can even imagine him walking into a Halloween party in a taco suit yelling, "It's Taco Tuesday!" in his signature voice.
