How is your favorite MLB team doing this season? National League Edition

National League East

Philadelphia Phillies:

The Phillies currently have the best record in not only the National League but the best overall in the MLB right now. With 39 wins and 18 losses, this team has been unstoppable. Trea Turner and Alec Bohm have played a big part in the Phillies' success so far. Turner has a batting average of .343 and Bohm has an average of .308. Another player who has been great so far is Bryce Harper- with 13 home runs, 42 RBIs, and an average of .266. 

Atlanta Braves: 

The Braves have been doing well this season with a record of 31-22. Marcell Ozuna and Ronald Acuña Jr. have been killing it. Ozuna has had 60 hits for his 195 at-bats and has an OPS of .994. Acuña has just had a season ending injury with a torn ACL so fans will not get to see him continue on this season. He already had 16 stolen bases and 48 hits. Chris Sale has been doing great pitching for the Braves, he has one of the lowest ERAs on the team. 

Washington Nationals:

The Nationals have had a decent start to the 2024 season. They have won 25 games and lost 29. CJ Abrams has been doing well for the team, getting in hits and RBIs. The Nationals have a combined 47 home runs and a batting average of .232. If the team starts to get more hits in, fans can see them improve more.

New York Mets:

The Mets have started the season off with 22 wins and 33 losses- definitely not the way they would have hoped to to start the season. Starling Marte has helped the team with 27 runs and a batting average of .262. However, the Mets definitely have some improvements they should make pitching-wise to get a lower ERA. 

Miami Marlins:

The Marlins have had a rough start to their year. They have won 20 games and lost 37. In the beginning of May, they traded Luis Arráez to the Padres, which lost them their best player. Bryan De La Cruz has been pulling a lot of the weight for the team. He has the highest batting average and home runs for the Marlins. De La Cruz and Jazz Chisholm Jr. are tied for most runs at 27.

National League Central 

Milwaukee Brewers:

The Brewers lead the NL Central with 32 wins and 23 losses. The Brewers finished first place in the NL Central in the 2023 season, they have already been off to a good start to do that again. Catcher William Contreras has been doing great for the team. He has a batting average of .323 and has 43 RBIs. Brice Turang has also been pulling in his weight with 19 stolen bases. The Pitchers have a combined ERA of 3.84 with a total of 447 strikeouts.

Chicago Cubs:

The Cubs have won 28 games and lost 28 so far this season. Mike Tauchman and Christopher Morel have been leading the team offensively. The Cubs have had 240 runs this season, 52 of those were home runs. The team's overall ERA for pitchers is 3.88 and pitchers have struck out batters 497 times. 

 St. Louis Cardinals: 

The Cardinals are not far behind the Cubs with a record of 27-27. The team has had an okay start to the season. Masyn Winn currently has the highest batting average on the team of .308, he also has 49 hits. Nolan Arenado, Brendan Donovan, and Nolan Gorman all have 25 RBIs. The Cardinals have hit a combined total of 48 home runs and 200 RBIs. Pitcher Sonny Gray has been doing well and getting pitching wins for the team, his current ERA is 2.60 and he has had 67 strikeouts.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pirates have 26 wins and 30 losses so far this season. Pitcher Paul Skenes, who was just brought up to the majors, has been making a good impact on the team so far. In his 22 innings pitched, he has struck out batters 30 times. Connor Joe has been helping a lot offensively, he has a batting average of .286, 23 RBIs, and 50 hits. 

Cincinnati Reds:

The Reds have started the season off with 24 wins and 32 losses. While the team is in last place, one of their best players is Elly De La Cruz. So far he has a batting average of .249 with nine home runs, 24 RBIs, and a whopping 31 stolen bases. They have the combined lowest batting average of NL of .216. Hopefully Red’s fans can start to see tem get better offensively. The pitchers have a combined ERA of 3.91 and have struckout 467 times. Pitcher Hunter Green has one of the team’s lowest ERA of 3.06 and 71 strikeouts.

National League West 

Los Angeles Dodgers:

The Dodgers have one of the best records in baseball right now with 36 wins and 22 losses. This team is unstoppable with Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Shohei Ohtani. In the offseason, the Dodgers added some players to their team that have been helping tremendously such as Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow has an ERA of 3.04 and has 95 strikeouts. 

San Francisco Giants:

The Giants are in second place in the NL West with 29 wins and 28 losses. Matt Chapman has been doing quite well for the team with 37 runs, 8 home runs, and five stolen bases. Pitcher Jordan Hicks has one of the lowest ERAs on the team of 2.33, he has 48 strikeouts in his 58 innings pitched.

San Diego Padres:

The Padres have a current record of 30-29. The team has a combined total of 56 home runs and 245 RBIs. 70 of those RBIs come from Jake Cronenworth and Jurickson Profar. Fernando Tatís Jr. has also been a big help to the team with 28 RBIs and 57 hits. 

Arizona Diamondbacks:

The Dbacks have started off the season with a record of 25-30. Christian Walker and Ketel Marte have been doing very well for the team. Walker has 36 runs and 33 RBIs. Walker and Marte both lead the team in home runs with 10 each. Corbin Carroll leads the team in most stolen bases- which is nine stolen bases.  

Colorado Rockies:

The Rockies have had a rough start to the season, they have a current record of 20-35. Ryan McMahon has the most home runs and RBIs for the Rockies with 10 and 34 respectively. Brenton Doyle has stolen 14 bases which is a lot for this early in the season, his speed is definitely an advantage for the team. The Rockies have a high ERA of 5.27, so their pitching has some improving to do.
