Whether you’re a seasoned fan or new to hockey, finding the perfect gameday outfit that’s both stylish and comfortable can be difficult. Not to mention, you also have to dress warm for games! Here’s five outfit ideas to inspire your next gameday look.

Jacket and Jersey
Elevate your jersey by adding a leather bomber jacket or puffer coat on top! Jerseys are a go-to for NHL gamedays and can be worn with just about any bottoms, but straight jeans or leggings might be the most comfortable. Layer a long-sleeve top under and tuck that into your bottoms for extra warmth. When picking out your jacket, aim for something oversized to ensure your jersey will fit comfortably underneath. Plain, dark boots to match your jacket are perfect for completing this look!

Denim on Denim
This look is great if you don’t have a jersey yet! It’s all about mixing and matching your team’s colors while keeping it casual with some basic denim. Try layering a hoodie or crew neck, that’s in one of your team’s colors, with an oversized denim jacket. Find a pair of jeans in a similar wash to your jacket and put on your favorite white sneakers. If by chance it gets too hot during the game, you’ll still be repping your team’s colors with your denim jacket off. Accessorize this look with a beanie or baseball cap in your team’s color or with their logo.

Skirt and Jersey
Skirts are always an option, they just require a bit more layering when worn to a hockey game. Start with a black or white long-sleeve, tucked into a neutral pair of high denier tights. These thicker tights are essential to staying warm inside the arena. Add on a plain skirt and decide between a jersey or a bright puffer jacket, specifically one in your team’s colors. Both options are perfect for layering! Finish off the look with a pair of comfortable, heeled boots.

Dressed Up
Inspired by our favorite NHL WAGS, this outfit highlights a team bomber jacket or vintage varsity jacket. You can find these online or on a fun day of thrifting! Start with a plain long-sleeve shirt or bodysuit as your base layer. Tuck that into a pair of stylish, straight cut leather pants. You can really play around with your shoes for this look. Some WAGS have been seen wearing black booties or team color heels, as well as white sneakers with accent colors. Accessorize with a small shoulder bag, either black to match your pants or a team color to match your shoes.

Bold Lip
If you’re lucky enough to have red as one of your team’s colors, try a bold, red lip with a casual outfit. Layer a black or white hoodie under a jersey and throw on your favorite jeans. This look is for the girls on the go, so keep on your sneakers to complete the look. Eye makeup can be kept simple too, allowing the red lip to be the star of the show!
