We know it’s summer, and now that Love Island’s over, you probably don’t know what to watch. Need a new binge? Here are five show recs for you based on your favorite sport. 


Volleyball & Swimming - The Summer I Turned Pretty

If you love swimming or volleyball, The Summer I Turned Pretty is the one for you. TSITP exudes the perfect summer vibes, making you wish you lived on the beach. There are night swims, volleyball tournaments, and heartbreak. TSITP will have you begging for more, and it's about a girl who falls in love with two brothers. There are three seasons, and you can watch them on Prime Video. The third season is still airing new episodes every Wednesday. You will not want to miss it. P.S. I’m team Conrad.


Basketball - One Tree Hill

If you’re a basketball girly, you’ll love One Tree Hill. In One Tree Hill, there’s a thrilling rivalry between two brothers, and basketball is the center of it. It’s jam-packed with drama, love, growth, and friendship. The twists and turns will leave you hooked. It’s hard not to get invested in this show, and it feels like you’re in the bleachers too. Did I mention that Chad Michael Murray’s in it? Oh, well, he is. You can watch all nine seasons of One Tree Hill on Hulu and Max. 


Motorsport - My Fault: London

If you love all things motorsport, My Fault: London will not disappoint. Although it’s a movie, it’s technically a series and has two more in the making. My Fault: London follows a girl who moves to London with her mother and grows fond of her stepbrother. From thrilling car races to forbidden romance, it has everything. And not only that, but the main lead knows how to race, and we love that for her. There are also racetracks and racing jackets, which are so motorsport girly-coded. You can watch My Fault: London on Prime Video, and let’s just say you’re in for a ride. 


Football - All American

If you live, love, and breathe football, you should watch All American. It’s perfect to watch during the offseason and will give you your football fix. It tells the story of a high school football player who has to adjust to a new school and town. You can only imagine what that comes with. All American will inspire you and give you an inside look at what being an athlete is like. It has just been renewed for its final season, which will air next year. You can catch All American on The CW and Netflix. 


Lacrosse & Hockey - Maxton Hall: The World Between Us

If you’re into lacrosse or even hockey, Maxton Hall is the perfect fit. It’s a romantic enemies-to-lovers story with lots of secrets and mysteries. Maxton Hall is intriguing and will leave you on the edge of your seat. It revolves around lacrosse since it’s a major part of the school’s identity. The school’s lacrosse field is symbolic, and many scenes take place there. Maxton Hall can also relate to hockey. Although it’s not explicitly shown, lacrosse is very similar, and both involve sticks and physical play. Maxton Hall can be found on Prime Video and has been renewed for its second season. 


All these shows are a must-watch, and I assure you, you won’t regret it. Which series is next on your list?
