There's no gymnastics All-Star competition... but what if there was?
In honor of the NBA All-Star weekend and reaching the halfway point of the NCAA gymnastics season, I thought it would be fun to create lineups for an NCAA gymnastics All-Star competition!
Here's how it would work: there would be two teams, the East vs. the West, with the Mississippi River as the dividing point. Like in Fantasy Gymnastics on Gymlytics, 10 athletes will be sent for each event. But for the competition, it will be the usual six up, five count.
Here are the teams, determined by high scores, average scores, and national rankings (through Week 6 of the NCAA gymnastics season).
Team East

The Team East Vault Lineup
Forbes is the #10 vaulter in the nation, has scored a 9.875 or better on vault in every meet this season, and has a career high of 9.925. She'd be the perfect athlete to kick off a powerful vault rotation.
Cashion has put up a 9.950 this season, a score she's met twice and has scored a 9.875 or better three times this season.
Zancan has scored a 9.875 or better three times this season, including a 9.975, and has scored a 9.950 or better three times in her career.
Williams is the #21 vaulter in the nation; she's only a freshman and has put up a 9.875 or better on three of her five vaults, and has a career high 9.950.
Harris-Miranda, the #5 vaulter in the nation, has scored a 9.900 or better on all of her vaults this season, including two 9.950s, and has scored a perfect 10 six times on vault.
Kellerman is one of the best vaulters in the NCAA and has scored a 9.925 and 9.975 this season. Kellerman, who has scored a perfect 10 twice on vault, would be the perfect anchor for this All-Star vault lineup, and could finish it with an exclamation point with a stick.
Other great options for Team East on vault are #13 JoJo Valahovic (North Carolina), #15 Olivia Zsarmani (Michigan State), #23 Azaraya Ra-Akbar (Alabama), and Arianna Ostrum (Minnesota).
The Team East Bars Lineup
Tran, ranked #5 in the nation on bars, is an incredibly consistent bar worker and has scored a 9.900 or better four times this season. Her career high on bars is a 9.950, which she has reached twice. Tran would be the perfect gymnast to swing this bars lineup into action.
McCusker has the most gorgeous lines and form on bars. She's scored a 9.900 or better three times this season, including a 9.975, and scored a perfect 10 on bars last season.
Chloe Cho, ranked #5 on bars, has taken the event by storm this year. She's scored a 9.900 or better, including her career high of 9.950, four times this season.

Harris-Miranda is an incredible bar worker. She has scored a 9.900 or better four times this season, and she has scored a perfect 10 on bars.
LaCoursiere is ranked #1 on bars for a reason. This season, she's put up a 9.925 or better, including a 9.975 twice, in every meet. As the anchor to an All-Star bars lineup, there's no way LaCoursiere couldn't score a perfect 10!
Other great options for Team East on bars are #12 Skye Blakely (Florida), #21 Delaynee Rodriguez (Kentucky), Gwen Fink (North Carolina), and Dani Latronica (Penn State).
The Team East Beam Lineup

Other great options for Team East on beam are #20 eMjae Frazier (Florida), Skye Blakely (Florida), Quincy Walters (Michigan), and Madeline Komoroski (Maryland).
The Team East Floor Lineup
Royer, ranked #4 in the nation on floor, has scored a 9.875 and two 9.950s on the event this season. Her 9.950 is also the new program record for Southern Connecticut. Royer could definitely set the tone and get the party started on an All-Star team.

Other great options for Team East on floor are #6 Nikki Smith (Michigan State), #6 Sydney Seabrooks (North Carolina), #12 CaMarah Williams (Georgia), and #17 Syniya Thomas (NC State).
Team West

The Team West Vault Lineup
Williams is the #6 vaulter in the nation, and has scored a 9.875 or better in every meet this year, including two 9.975s to tie Arkansas' record. Her power and energy would be the perfect way to start an All-Star vault lineup.

The Team West Beam Lineup
Chiles is ranked #8 on beam and has scored a 9.850 or better on the event in every meet this season, including two 9.975s. While she's at the end of the UCLA lineups, I think she'd be the perfect athlete to set the tone for this dream beam team.
This wouldn't be an All-Star beam lineup without #7 Joscelyn Roberson! She's scored a 9.950 on the event five times this season, and is so powerful, consistent, and confident on the event.
Lawrence, ranked #4 on beam, has also put up five 9.950s on the event this season. She's known for consistently sticking her dismounts, and her iconic stick celebrations belong in an All-Star lineup.

Chio is also ranked #1 on beam. She has looked so solid and confident on the event this season, and has gone 9.925 or better every time, and also scored her first perfect 10 on the event. Just as she does for LSU, Chio would be the perfect All-Star beam anchor.

The Team West Floor Lineup

Cooley, ranked #6 on floor, is so controlled and consistent on the event. This season, she's scored a 9.850 or better in every meet, including a 9.975.
An All-Star floor lineup has to include an Oklahoma routine, and Fatta is the perfect athlete. She's scored a 9.875 or better four times this season, including a 9.950 and 9.975.
The power and amplitude that Lincoln, the #6 floor worker, gets on floor is unmatched. And just as she can get big air in her tumbling, she can also put up big scores. She's scored a 9.850 or better in every meet this year, and has put up a 9.950 twice.
Who else would anchor this All-Star floor lineup than the #2 floor worker, Jordan Chiles? She's scored six perfect 10s on this event, including three just this season.
