The best tour in North America is coming back this winter.
The PWHL is going on tour, and there might just be a game played in a city near you!
The 2025-26 Takeover Tour will feature all eight teams in 16 games across 11 cities, so get your PWHL merch ready because we're showing up and showing out for women's hockey!
Tour Dates and Stops
16 neutral-site regular season games will be played outside the league's eight cities.
The Montréal Victoire and Toronto Sceptres kick off the tour on Dec 17 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
From there, the PWHL will head to Chicago (OTT vs. MIN, Dec 21), Edmonton (MIN vs. VAN, Dec 27), Dallas (SEA vs. NY, Dec 28), Hamilton (SEA vs. TOR, Jan 3), Detroit (VAN vs. BOS, Jan 3), Halifax again (OTT vs. BOS, Jan 11), Québec City (VAN vs. MTL, Jan 11), Washington D.C. (MTL vs. NY, Jan 18), Denver (VAN vs. SEA, Jan 25, and NY vs. MIN, March 15), Winnipeg (MTL vs. OTT, March 22), Chicago again (NY vs. SEA, March 25), Detroit again (NY vs. MTL, March 28), Calgary (TOR vs. OTT, April 1), and back to Edmonton (BOS vs. VAN, April 7).

League and Tour Expansion
The PWHL Takeover Tour allows the league to reach, connect, and engage with (currently) out-of-market fans. And when fans have the chance to see PWHL games in a city near them, they show up! In last year's Takeover Tour, 123,601 fans attended games, 80% of fans experienced their first PWHL game, U.S. professional hockey attendance records were broken twice, five games ranked in the top ten for PWHL single-game attendance, fans came from every U.S. state and Canadian province, 945 girls' hockey players participated in clinics, and PWHL social media engagement increased by 30%.
Heading into its third season, the PWHL is only getting bigger and better. And reaching and expanding to more markets plays a big role in that.
The league added two new teams, the Seattle Torrent and Vancouver Goldeneyes, bringing the PWHL permanently to the Pacific Northwest. These two cities were the first stops on last season's Takeover Tour, drawing over 12,000 fans in Seattle and a sold-out crowd of more than 19,000 in Vancouver. If I had to guess on the next two cities to get a team after this season, I'd go with Detroit and Edmonton, both of which brought in big crowds last year and have two dates on the tour this year.
For fans outside of the league's current eight markets, the Takeover Tour has expanded from nine games last season to now 16 games.
“Season Two’s PWHL Takeover Tour was the first of its kind, giving fans across North America the chance to experience the excitement of a regular-season game in their home venues,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “The passion and support from fans, and the enthusiasm from cities eager to engage with our league, have fueled our ambition to grow the Tour for Season Three.”
More fans and more markets than ever before will have the chance to experience and engage with professional women's hockey.
PWHL fans, are you ready?!

I'm crossing my fingers for a Cleveland or Columbus stop next year! But this season, this Ohioan is hoping to make a trip to Detroit!
